Lotte is on hormonal IUD when she took the test in March, 2020.
Why did you decided to take the Grip fertility test?
I’ve always been curious about my fertility, but never really in a proactive way. I’m still young, have had an IUD for a while, am in a happy relationship, and so it’s just not really top of mind. I heard about Grip through a friend, and because it was so easy to test I decided to give it a try.
What was your experience taking the Grip fertility test?
The test was straight forward and the instruction was clear. The pricking part was easier than I imagine. It was definitely scary but it didn't really hurt. Getting the 0.5 mL of blood does require you to milk your finger.
Was it worth it?
Looking back, I’m so glad that I took the test. My results were okay, but not as great as I would have liked or expected. Now I can act on this knowledge, rather than sit around and be too late. I’ve made an appointment with my GP to discuss my thyroid levels, because they might explain other symptoms that I’ve been having for a while. I talked to my boyfriend about what my levels mean for when we think of having kids.
It was a pretty big shock when I first got my results, and I’m glad that it was possible to discuss them over the phone pretty much instantly. The context provided made it a lot easier to digest.
Anything else you like to share?
Looking back, I’m so glad that I was proactive about finding out. I’d highly recommend other young women to test.
